Mr. Dagupeño was founded by husband and wife team, Mr. and Mrs. Eric and Katherine Montoya. After leaving her area sales manager job, Kathy stumbled upon a business plan that Eric wrote nine years earlier. The couple decided to execute the business plan and try if the idea could still work. It has always been the couple’s dream to try their hand at entrepreneurship. As Eric continued with his corporate work, Kathy handled the launch of the business and eventually the over-all operations.
Wanting to take advantage of the holiday rush, the couple officially opened their first store on Dec 3. 2016 along Sumulong highway, in Brgy. Mambugan, Antipolo City. The holidays paved the way for very good sales on their first month of operations and good levels of exposure to the Antipolo public.
Six months after (July 2017), a second store was established in Circumferential Road (now E. Rodriguez Road), a location which was right in the center of the various commercial establishments and villages in Antipolo City. Then on April 2018, the third store in Antipolo City was established in what is known as Siete Medya to cater to a different cluster of Antipolo communities. The good reception of the public has enabled Eric and Kathy to recoup their investment in a fairly short amount of time.
Mr. Dagupeño offers Grilled Boneless Bangus, Relleno Bangus, Grilled Liempo and Grilled Pusit. They also offer frozen goods such as Daing na Bangus, Tinapang Bangus, Lumpiang Bangus, Alaminos Longganisa, Chicken Embotido, and other Pangasinan products.
